Teaching English in Italy offers English teacher training courses (onsite and online) to those who are interested in teaching English in private language schools at home or abroad. We offer teaching certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), or in Teaching English to Speakers of Other languages (TESOL).

Online TESOL Certificate courses you can do from anywhere:
- An online TESOL (TESL/TEFL Certificate) course (100 hours) working with a teacher trainer (living and teaching in Italy) who has worked as the lead teacher trainer and academic director for an onsite TEFL certificate program.

This course is also available with Teaching Practice (TP) for teachers who are already working as teachers.
- An Online and in-depth TESOL 1 course option (100 hours) or TESOL 2 course option (180 hours) with your choice of one of two specific teaching components:
Teaching Practice (TP) in Italy (upon completion of an online course without TP):
An Online grammar certificate course for practicing or new English language teachers:
Teaching Programs in Italy:
- Several opportunities to teach English to young learners and/or adults in Italy during the summer months.
- A volunteer opportunity for teaching conversational English in the Puglia region (southern Italy) to middle and high school students throughout the year under the direction of Italian English teachers.
- A volunteer opportunity for teaching English in an Italian family in exchange for free room and board.
- An internship opportunity for teaching English combined with learning Italian in Florence, Italy.
